I feel Carol is experiencing so many different feelings, and having happy dreams like the one in this episode make the reality that much more unbearable. Daryl seems at a loss for how to help her, but he’s right there waiting for her when she comes outside. I think the Eugene/Rosita scene was setting up a foil. Friendship with zero chance of romance. The talk about lack of sleep was a tad confusing but Rosita made it clear that nothing was gonna happen, meanwhile Eugene had a come to Jesus moment revealing his part of the friendship was based on hoping for romance. They almost seemed like strangers at the end of that scene. (Feel free to chime in on your thoughts here) I don’t see that all for Caryl. Carol and Daryl have a deep connection and understanding of each other. Carol seems to finally be honing in on these feelings in her dreams, and the dreams are positive. She just can’t let herself feel it now. I actually like how there was no focus on the ring. Just the watch and bracelet.
