C'mon now, ya'll.  It's not for nothing that we keep seeing Carol in that bed.  I don't think it's mere coincidence that we finally got some confirmation that Daryl's not sleeping outside on that porch with Dog (lol).  This season, at least IMHO, has been about Carol letting herself finally feel it--in a way that allows her to move on but not run away, a way that will be cathartic instead of eat even further away at her soul.  We're still in the middle of it, happiness with Daryl is still but a dream that she won't allow herself to believe in or take full comfort in, but I believe the sun is starting to peek over the far horizon.  There are still miles to go.  I'm not going to pretend there aren't many painful, angst-filled miles to go, but.  But.  I'm going to go ahead and put this thought out there in the universe.  Come season's end?  Carol's not going to be running from love anymore.  She's going to rise up.  They're not ashes.  Daryl said that a long time ago.  A long, long time ago.  But both of them are going to rise and finally face up to the truth they both know--deep, deep, deep down.  They fucking love each other. shimmershae: And the right side of Carol’s bed?  Well.  Let’s just say it’s not going to be so empty anymore.  Unless, of course, she’s sharing that couch downstairs with Pookie.  In which case, who am I to complain?  November 19, 2019 at 05:27AM
